PUBLIC HEALTH NOTICE RE. CORONAVIRUS:

We at Butlers chauffeur drive take the health and safety of our passengers and drivers very seriously. We want to assure our customers that we are doing our part to prevent the spread of disease.

Firstly, when greeting you, our drivers will not shake hands to avoid cross contamination, however all our drivers make sure to wash their hands regularly and thoroughly. Drivers will be wearing face-masks.

Secondly, you can take comfort in the fact that due to us being an executive chauffeur company and not a private hire taxi company, our drivers transport far less passengers around in one day so there is lower risk of infection.

Thirdly, our vehicles are kept very clean, including seats, arm rests and handles being wiped with antibacterial solution after each passenger, and aired out to prevent stagnant air build up. Pump bottles of hand sanitisers are also provided for passengers and drivers to use.

We hope these measures will assure you of our care and attention, not just during this time, but always. We look forward to driving you where you want to go in safety and comfort.

Opening Hours:

We work 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

General hourly hire is 2.5 hour minimum hire in Edinburgh 5 hours out of Edinburgh base to base and direct transfers are based on miles starting from our base.

Please note hourly rates are variable out of Edinburgh and hourly hire rates can be more for big events like golf tournaments. Hourly hire starts when car leave EH28 8NQ and ends back at EH28 8NQ.

Funeral car hire and wedding hire set rates in Edinburgh 3 hours minimum

Vat is charged at 20% – Vat Number: 120 1238 79

Hours and transfers calculated garage to garage except where subject to specific quotations.

50% surcharge 25th & 26th December and 1st & 2nd January 50% surcharge.

All bookings must be paid in full before the hiring commences, unless stated otherwise.

Any extra hours will be settled at the end of the hire.

Bookings:

All non-business bookings must be paid in full prior to the hire date with a credit or debit card or by bank transfer.

Most business bookings can be paid before or after the hire with a credit or debit card or by bank transfer.

Cancellations:

There will be a charge of 50% of the total if bookings are cancelled 24 hours before the hire and 100% charged if bookings are cancelled on the day of the hire.

Vehicles:

We reserve the right to change any car booked as long as we provide the same standard of car. The Company reserves the right to sub contract to other companies should the need arise.

Invoices/Account Charges:

Invoices will be sent out on a weekly basis and payment is respectfully requested within 28 days.

No Smoking:

We reserve the right to adopt a no-smoking policy in our cars. This applies to both driver and passengers.

Passenger Behaviour:

We reserve the right to refuse travel to anyone that causes disruption, or endangers our drivers or passengers.

Delays:

We do not accept liability for delays caused by unavoidable traffic delays/accidents, bad weather conditions, or delays caused by third parties such as ferry companies, hotels or any other third party contracted on your behalf.

Passenger Delays:

Please note we monitor all flights and all our drivers will not go in to terminal until flight lands.
Once the driver arrives in to terminal the transfer rates given on your booking are based on no more than 1 hours waiting time.

Any hours over 1 will be charged an extra

£39 per hour plus parking plus vat Lexus Es.

£50 per hour plus parking plus vat Mercedes Sclass.

£48 per hour plus parking plus vat Mercedes Vclass.

£65 per hour plus parking plus vat Range Rover.

£50 per hour plus parking plus vat Land Rover Discovery.

City departure pickups:

Any waiting time over 30 minutes from booked pickup time will be charged the transfer rate given plus per hour plus vat.

£39 per hour plus parking plus vat Lexus Es.

£50 per hour plus parking plus vat Mercedes Sclass.

£48 per hour plus parking plus vat Mercedes Vclass.

£65 per hour plus parking plus vat Range Rover.

£50 per hour plus parking plus vat Land Rover Discovery.

Responsibilities:

We hold public liability, motor and business insurance and are responsible for all our own cars and drivers.

We do not accept responsibility for any theft or damage to goods except where such theft or damage was a direct action by one of Butler’s Chauffeur Drive’s employees.

We do not accept responsibility for bodily injury, sickness or death to any other person except where such injury, sickness or death is caused directly by a member of Butler’s Chauffeur Drive’s staff
